Eight Views of the Western United States
As promised here is the first post for my upcoming woodblock series. This is a concept drawing for print number one "Arches National Park" in Utah. As I complete each woodblock carving and print I will post a picture so you may view the progress from start to finish.
Here is the Key Block for Arches National Park. Below that is a picture of my thumb next to the top of the arch to show the detail involved in carving the image into the block. Up next the carving of various color blocks to complete the image. 11/09/25
The Sky Block is now complete, block 2 of 6. 11/11/25
Up next will be the valley floor and mountain shadows.

Up next will be Arch Part #3 the final woodblock.
Arch Part #3 is now complete, block 6 of 6 (final block). 11/24/25
Up next will be test printing to check the alignment of the Kento (registration marks).
Test print has been done. There is a registration issue that needs to be addressed and the colors used for the test print are not the colors that will be used for the final print.
